Apparently, there are exceptions even to the rule that a picture is worth a thousand words. Maybe you should consider speaking in full sentences (?)

Have you already asked the question in the green forum or do two people happen to have the same crazy idea?

Regarding the matter, it has already been said that it will be much too steep. Ramp angle, slope angle, and a slide in winter.

Well, 15 degrees is the usual standard for underground garages. In individual cases, for small garages, also 20 degrees.

No, that's not quite right. It is 15% (percent, not degrees!) incline. That's about 8.5 degrees. Such a small sign makes all the difference ;-) But that is only the slope of the driving surface, not the entrance slope at the ramp up/down. Then please also add that for inclines over 10%, there must be a flat driveway with at least 3m length and max. 5% incline (between public area and ramp). So, practically, for the car you have a maximum angle of 10% at the transition from flat to ramp – about 6 degrees. And for ramps over 10% incline, the crests must be flattened with half the incline (over 1.5m length). For "wannen" (i.e. from flat to ascending) they must be flattened over 2.5m with half the incline. In summary: The 12 degrees are 1.5 times as much as you find in the public garage. And then you would also need 4.5m of flattening before and after the incline (in total).

We also have a fairly long driveway to the house and, at a right angle to it, steps as access, especially in winter, when it - which has rarely happened so far - might be slippery.

We overcome a height difference of almost 2 meters over a length of 12 meters. So we have a gradient of around 17%.

I regularly drive this route with my car, especially fully loaded after visiting the beverage market or the Swedish furniture retailer.

Yes, that is of course correct. It is still early in the morning…
