When I read your thoughts on lighting here, I get the feeling that you would all prefer to live in exhibitions. I, on the other hand, like it cozy; if I need floodlights, I turn on the ceiling lights briefly.

I get the same feeling when I read how many sockets are supposed/must be installed per room. One thing is for sure, your electricians are happy

Some people just like it bright, me for example, I can never turn on enough light, never screw enough watts into the socket. My husband doesn’t understand that either, he is more of a cave person.

We also have a floor lamp in the living room (the typical one from Ikea) that is sometimes switched on for coziness. But that only happens rarely. That's why we have the recessed lights in our living room ceiling wired separately.
When it should be really cozy, only the firelight from the fireplace is lit anyway.

Regarding the topic of power outlets: Our electrician was very relaxed despite the flat rate. He even made suggestions about where additional power outlets should be.

You can never have enough sockets... there’s always one missing in the end.

In my opinion, that depends on how much consumption an individual believes they need

Strange statement... but it is just the "imho".
