Don't be mad at me, but that's absolute nonsense. You only need a small transfer station with a heat meter. That's all. It usually doesn't even cost anything.

Monopoly position, yes, that's of course a disadvantage. But for that, you don't need a chimney sweep, no technical system, no investment in a heat pump or heating system. Heat pumps also break down and usually don't even last 15 years.

The prices are sometimes fixed for years. So local heating isn't that bad. In our case, the neighboring village is supplied at very favorable conditions for voluntary customers. You can't heat cheaper than that. Waste heat from a biogas plant is used. It works great. Unfortunately, the capacity isn't enough to supply our village as well. I would do it immediately.

Thank you in advance! I am informing myself about the prices of local heating, as it apparently seems to be heading in that direction. Otherwise, I have already picked up in another forum for my case: Air-water heat pump + photovoltaic without battery storage or brine heat pump + ring trench collector + photovoltaic. No buffer, no solar thermal. Photovoltaic preferably full and gable roof with NE/SW orientation on the property.

I even believe that Annalena knows that the heat does not come from the transfer station, but from a connected pipeline. And that needs to be paid for, just like any other supply line.

Connection fees vary, but a price range between 5,000 and 15,000 is quite realistic. There may also be providers somewhere who do not charge connection fees, but this is not the norm – presumably the costs are then distributed across the fixed fees. Either way, you pay.

Funny... recently a certain Buchsbaum cited completely different figures:

Efficient and economical has two components: 1. Acquisition costs 2. Operating costs over a period X

In a new building, the efficiency of the heat pump heating system in terms of operating costs is almost negligible. Whether you pay €38 or €40 per month in heating costs due to poorer efficiency is practically ridiculous over 30 years of use (saving €720 in 30 years with better efficiency, e.g. geothermal heat pump instead of air-air heat pump). And whether a heat pump breaks down or not depends on the heat pump, not on the medium air, groundwater, or brine.

The question of acquisition costs then becomes more interesting, of course. This is where it all happens in the end. And you have to decide for yourself which heat pump makes sense.

Photovoltaics is a topic that per se has nothing to do with heating. Photovoltaics is (almost) always worthwhile; a high self-consumption through the heat pump (and possibly through a very cheap storage) is the icing on the cake.

In my opinion, solar thermal is out. In summer, when you can cheaply produce hot water with the heat pump (and ideally the electricity for it comes from photovoltaics), you don’t need solar thermal. In winter, it provides no performance.

I have to add again that we want to build with wood. I have now also heard that, of course, the house could be better insulated and possibly even completely dispense with [WP]? [Holz100] - do you know any alternatives?
