Yes, basement. The material is included in the fixed price of the general contractor.

Who are you building with? General contractor or architect? The whole "complete houses" often include an item for earthworks, mineral mixture, etc. included. Although this also varies from general contractor to general contractor.

Our additional cost (without basement) is around €10,000 but including construction road, sewage and rainwater drainage up to handover shafts, etc. Not included in the house price were: more earthworks due to slope location, larger excavator due to soil class with stones, more mineral mixture, excavation for double garage next to the house, mineral mixture for construction road or later garage base and all the piping: water, sewage, empty conduits for media, etc.

So €10,000 extra for everything?
To what extent did your additional work due to the hillside location go?

That's hard for me to say, there is always only one position for additional excavation and extra material, whereby part of it is always for the garage and part for the continuation of the shafts, etc., and then part is extra effort compared to the construction performance description. The slope at our place is also rather low with about 0.80m height difference along the length of the house. However, we also had a very "friendly" soil report, which essentially said: "Remove topsoil, then just scrape off the loose stuff, that's enough." There are also soil reports where you first have to excavate 1.20m deep, regardless of how high the house is planned.
