Duration of completion notification for Telekom house connection

on 16.12 the electrical main connection and simultaneously the Telekom connection were installed at our place. The execution of the work must now still be reported by the electrical company to Telekom. On 23.12 I asked when this would be done. Today I received the information that they will only do it at the end of the month because the colleague is on vacation. Do I have to accept this? Am I forced to wait until then or can I speed this up? I find this quite bold especially since we want to move in on 24.01 ...

Believe me, if it goes that fast you are very lucky. We got our connection point finished in mid-July (also only after repeated urging). However, it then took another two months and countless calls, written requests until we went online at the end of September.

So I don’t hope that for you, but it can also take longer.

We had a connection installed directly through Vodafone (Kabel Deutschland). The transfer point and the house entry were set up in October. Apparently, the technician is supposed to come tomorrow and activate everything... I am curious. Telekom told us that it can take up to half a year until everything is running. (Vom Einrichten des Übergabepunktes bis zur Freischaltung :/ )

Had a phone call with Telekom today. They will now call the executing company themselves and want to clarify the situation. I am very curious. They want to do everything to ensure that I have the connection by the move-in date. I just didn’t expect that the electrician company would want to hold me up for another month.

I don't want to destroy any hopes now, but you will never have internet by 24.1. We took exactly the same path as you, I can only give you the tip to stick with it and to be annoyingly persistent there almost every day.

With us, it took about 6 months from laying the line to activation.
