We took the cheap drainage concrete paving stone from Hornbach for €19 / m².
In that respect, €47 / m² for the Kann stones would also be much too expensive for me.
Here, everything soaks away quickly even after days of continuous rain (we haven't had any real heavy rain here for two years), but I'm talking about several days with >=10l/m². At the lowest point, a puddle forms, which, however, disappears relatively quickly after the rain.
As you can see, we also have a green strip on the side of the driveway. The slope goes very slightly (0.5%?) in that direction, so if there really were a heavy rain event, I hope a lot can soak away there. I'll see what happens.
Since we only laid the paving about a year ago, I can't say much about its durability yet.
Here you can see how it was about half finished:

Where it is dark, we just sprayed dirt away with water. However, there are actually some stones that have less color or where the color has already faded again. But we quite like that because such a large gray area also looks blocky and oppressive.
That is about 50m² finished. With 80m² and if I had the money, I would probably rather work with different colors or a stone in shell limestone look or something like that to loosen up the area a bit...
The labor costs seem a bit high to me, but that might be normal by now because labor costs have usually increased in the last 18-24 months.
The question here would be: is that including the sub-base?
And also: how is the sub-base planned? How far to excavate, how thick is the gravel, and then a grit bed or sand?
In my opinion, gravel is also too expensive; I know prices around €20 per ton and this was already named as too expensive here.
