The general contractor didn’t want a kitchen plan, we just said during the planning where everything would be placed. Nothing has been changed afterwards.

Would he then complain and ask if he was responsible for it himself?

The screed installer is not to blame; this is a planning error.

More of an installation error! The retaining bracket and the water pipes belong under the plaster and not on it. Why does someone do that? Marvin, I feel like you are messing up with every trade right now.

It should look like this first and then like this!

So if the client did not subsequently demand anything, I suspect that the connection was simply forgotten and was hastily nailed in shortly before the screed. TE, was it already like that at the time of the rough installation, i.e. before plaster, underfloor heating?

I don't understand why you all get so worked up about it...
In the end, it's already crap the way it is, but there's a cabinet in front of it anyway. As it is installed now, it serves its purpose, whether it was intended that way or not.
And whether it was forgotten or came about through some changes, that doesn't matter at all.
It is what it is now, and that's that.
It's not exactly nice, but it probably serves its purpose.
So all good...
