Don't understand why you all get so worked up about it...
In the end, it's already crap the way it is, but there's going to be a cabinet in front anyway. As it was installed now, it serves its purpose, whether that was intended or not.
And whether it was forgotten or came about due to some changes, doesn't matter at all.
It is as it is now and that's that.
Not pretty, but it probably serves its purpose.
So all good...

True, it only lets water come out.

How does it look in the shower or at the tub? I mean, the same installer also laid the water there.

In our kitchen, you could also see the pipes. That was not a problem for the sink cabinet. Maybe it is cheaper/easier for the craftsman?

It wasn’t any different in our kitchen either. It’s hidden anyway by the sink cabinet. The background was simply that there is only a 10.5 limestone wall there, otherwise hardly anything would have remained....

In the bathroom, the pipes were also laid along the KS wall. That’s no problem since a drywall installation was put in front of it.

With us, the sink connection is also surface-mounted, as recommended by the installer. Honestly, I see less of a problem with that than with 's electrical cables, which apparently were installed without conduit...

You mean the power cables? I don't see a problem, empty conduits for them are only common in Switzerland. Only media cables must necessarily be laid in empty conduits, power cables AFAIR only when on concrete floors.
