So we will do the electrical work ourselves as well, but with support and guidance from our electrician. He draws the electrical plan and then marks on the shell construction where we need to chase and drill boxes.
We can probably still plaster in the conduits ourselves. Together with him and a few helpers, the cables will later be laid into the conduits.

However, the electrician will do the connection and wiring, as we would not dare to do that ourselves. He will also take over the warranty.

It all depends on how urgent your move-in is and how much you feel confident doing yourself. Of course, it takes much longer and you will probably have to be diligent to keep to the schedule of Massa Haus?

Hello!

I did the electrical work together with a professional electrician. I should mention that a long time ago I trained in an electrical profession and became an electrical technician, but today I work in the software field. We wanted to install "Home Automation," which the electrician didn’t want to do alone, as it was new territory for him.

Anyway, from my perspective a few points to keep in mind:
- Don’t underestimate the time required! Professionals are faster... and often neater.
- You need time to acquire the skills. (e.g. plastering the switch boxes STRAIGHT)
- Lack of expertise and the need to access professional personnel. (e.g. Where should the cables run?) Therefore, a lot can be done wrong out of ignorance... double work.
- Missing or simply inadequate tools... A drill for home use is something different than a fine Hilti
- Physical work! Sitting at a desk all day is just something else....

Despite everything, it can also be fun to "work on the construction site" for a limited time. :-P

Cheers, torsan

In electrical work, at most the preparatory work is doable by oneself, and even then only under the guidance of an electrician. Installation zones and depths for cables are prescribed. Even here, questions arise, for example regarding statics if the slots are incorrectly made and regarding equipment (usually one does not have such a router at home). Even laying the cables in the slots is borderline. Connecting (each wire, each socket) must be done by the electrician themselves, and they must also check any cables laid by oneself if necessary.

The question then is what can still be saved with a timber-frame construction and what the ratio of learning/instruction to working time is.

With us, the milling machine is provided by the electrician and we only have to buy the milling disc.

yes, there are always ways and means... however, the electrician is usually faster anyway...
