Yes, it's relaxed with us too. We live rent-free with the parents in a small apartment, I am 28, my husband is 30 and we have two children aged 5 and 2. Of course, that conflicts with the DIY work, the children, and increasing work hours. Increasing work hours is also rather planned once the house is roughly built and further things are realized through DIY and saving up. Like carport/ shed etc.

Two years ago, the money and effort were not worth it to us because we still had the perspective of taking over the parental home. However, this expectation has been shattered.

Of course, I haven't delved into which heating system is sensible or similar in recent years. I have observed the market. We have repeatedly looked at existing properties. We have installed doors, installed windows, laid wiring, etc. that means we have done quite a bit of renovation.

Don’t you think that for the €78,000 for the Gablock kit you could also find a construction company to build a shell for you and then do the interior yourself completely? Personally, I would trust that more than these Belgian Lego blocks made of plywood and Styrofoam. As far as I see it, you still need a concrete foundation and a roof; only the walls and ceilings come from Gablock. As I understand it, the ceilings at Gablock are also just plywood filled with Styrofoam. I can’t find any information on the website about sound insulation and screed for underfloor heating. I don’t know the current prices, but the costs for masonry walls and a concrete ceiling shouldn’t be significantly higher than this price. Or does the quoted price per square meter include the foundation slab and roof?

Thank you for your response. No, the price is only a rough estimate for the walls. It means the foundation slab and roof would still be added. Just like the facade and interior OSB or drywall behind which the pipes are installed. So still quite a lot. Whether the whole thing is financially worthwhile was, among other things, also the reason why I started this topic here in the first place. We still had a conversation with Fjorborg. However, the whole thing has been canceled. We have had further discussions now and the slope is also too expensive with a stilt foundation because the soil is sandy. Now we possibly have an existing property, but I will open a separate topic for that and hope for advice there.

Thanks to everyone who has participated here.

So the Poroton bricks for a house of your size would cost about 10 - 12,000 euros. Adhesive included with the plan bricks.
With a 36 cm wall thickness, you don't need any more Styrofoam insulation.

Have the floor slab done. Four men can lay one floor, even as inexperienced helper masons, over four intense weekends. For the ceiling, you can hire a construction company. Have them lay precast ceilings and that's it. Build the next floor on top.

Put the roof truss on, the roofer, and the shell construction is done. With a bit of clever preparation, you don’t need 100k for this.

You only need a good and preferably an old mason. He lays the first row on the floor slab and the ceiling.
Of course, you have to look for and find him. Everything else goes like Lego.

I wanted to write before this sentence that I would not recommend anyone to lay bricks for their house with other "laymen."
The probability that a wall will be vertical and straight is approximately 1,000,000:1.

You can watch the video by "homebuild solutions" on YouTube about how he lays the first row.
Especially with Poroton, that is anything but easy.

Therefore, if I remember correctly, a professional is also provided to assist with the first row at Ytong, who helps you with the first row.
