It is about my planned extension with almost exclusively fixed glazing (only the door towards the terrace can be opened).

Now I am completely unsure into how many parts I should divide the panes.
The window towards the terrace (east) is already fixed and it is mainly about the large south window and the "smaller" north window, whose total size and position are also already fixed.
South window:
Here it must be divided at least once.
So there are the following options:
5335mm total
2 parts -> 2667mm
3 parts -> 1778mm
North window:
Here a single part would also be possible.
So there are the following options:
2750mm total
1 part -> 2750mm
2 parts -> 1375mm
Large windows would of course be nicer (I guess...) and you would have some symmetry here, since all parts would be about the same size (267cm and 275cm).
Now I am just thinking about how likely glass breakage could be and that with large elements the replacement costs would be higher.
(A glass breakage insurance is quite expensive compared to the other insurances)
How would you decide here?
