There is not just ONE provider, but different ones for gas, electricity, and water. Who did you contact for that? Or does the builder handle it for you and charge these costs? Water was a temporary shutdown for us and cost 72 euros. Water is then reconnected to the old line once they find it. Even the waterworks have no plan for that. It will cost around 1000 euros. We separated sewage near the house ourselves, and we will reconnect the new house ourselves as well. No provider was involved in that at all. The gas disconnection was free. We will no longer have gas, so it's a final shutdown. They only had a long lead time, so you should organize it in good time. The electrician has to apply for electricity anyway; you are not allowed to do that alone. Nothing was really disconnected for us because we continue to live on the property and construction power is needed. But even disconnecting the main connection in the old house and connecting the construction power meter did not cost anything from the provider’s side. Unfortunately, our provider mandates that we need a construction power meter during the construction phase and are no longer allowed to use our old meter. Unfortunately, the electricity has to be newly laid for us because we shared a line with the neighbor and it will no longer be connected that way. But only the costs of rerouting will be incurred; we just have to lay 35 meters of cable on the property.

But there is a supplier. At least with us. With us, the lines (water and electricity) were also disconnected and the meters removed. We only installed gas during the new construction. Water and electricity cost just under €1,000.

Water slider closed and done. Free friendly service from the municipality.

Electricity no idea. Was done together with the dismantling of the light pole, was not that expensive.

Could it be that your costs already include the prices for the future house connection of your house? Not just the costs of the separation?

Do you have a common supplier for water, electricity, and gas? Where is that?
