Good tribes are definitely auctioned off as well, or am I confusing something?

At the moment there is an abundance of beetle wood, prices are absolutely rock bottom.

Good staple goods are currently being sold well below value, hence my question. Selling is therefore not a real option.

The price of wood is at rock bottom. For beetle wood, you currently hardly recover the costs for transport. What is worse is that some forest owners, including many municipalities, are now flooding a broken market with good wood and thus harming the stands. It makes sense to leave everything standing that does not have to go because of infestation muss. Using your own infested wood is great - but please not as fresh wood for the construction of a residential house.

If only you could leave it lying with the treetops and, if possible, with branches for a while, then it would dry a bit better - but with beetle-infested wood?? Maybe it improves the quality a bit to cut it during the waning moon if it can't be done in winter. I would also be sorry for the trees. It doesn't grow back quickly enough to just throw it carelessly into the stove.

Best regards
Gabriele
