Ahoy,

I am currently considering creating a driveway in the garden, until now there is a wall. The height difference is unfortunately about 1.80m +- up to the front door.

I have created 2 graphics to illustrate it a bit. At first, I actually thought you could do everything by hand, but I don't think that will work out.

What kind of companies do something like a driveway/slope without paving?

The basement has a ceiling height of approximately 2m, the basement floor is at about the same level as the street. At an angle of 12°, that would be approximately 20-21.5% incline.

And what is supposed to drive up there, a tractor? What purpose is this structure supposed to serve?

What is the purpose of the "Auffahrt"? Is a car supposed to go up there? Or only on foot? Normally, one makes a zigzag course, a switchback path, whatever you call such a thing, if you don't want to get a muscle cramp when going up or knee damage when going down.

Make sure you understand that at 12 degrees hardly any car can make it up without a load. The current Golf 8 Variant, for example, has 12 degrees at the back. So fully fueled and three cases of water in the trunk and you work the rear bumper into the driveway. If it then becomes horizontal at the top, you will tear up the underbody - ramp angles are only 10 degrees. Ramp angle of the C-Class estate 8.9 degrees, the departure angle is still okay. This is how it looks with many cars. Not to mention the topic of "usage in frost." Whether car or on foot. But to the question: every landscaping gardener can do that.

Whereby the curb weight of a vehicle is determined with a 90% filled tank, 100% level of all other fluids, and a 75kg driver. It's still nonsense. Just drive onto the property and build a staircase to the front door.
