Crack in window frame (plastic)

we have a crack in the corner of the window frame, see picture. The installation company is willing to retouch the crack with paint or similar. According to a specialist, there is a risk that the frame will continue to crack and that it is a thermal bridge.

Are there any opinions on this?

So thermal bridge or not, the frame is broken and must be replaced under the warranty! Anything else is botched job! You have the right to a defect-free work, so replacement! Very clear!

The installation took place in August 2019, so a year ago. Unfortunately, we only noticed the crack later because the installer initially concealed it with paint. It only became really noticeable after we spotted the spot and then cleaned it a bit.
Unfortunately, I can't say the manufacturer, but I think it's regional.

I am not an expert, but this should at least fall under the two-year warranty. Repair is mandatory. I cannot judge what constitutes an adequate repair, but repainting cannot be it. From my perspective, the window is installed too tightly. We had something similar with a window. The window itself cracked. Fortunately, it was still during the construction phase and was replaced immediately. I would think that something like this happens when too much tension arises.

Yes, we have a 5-year warranty according to the Building Code. Unfortunately, the replacement is not that simple, since the window would probably have to be cut out, and thus plastering etc. would have to be restored afterwards.
