As said, according to the contractor, it is soil class 1 or 2.

No problem at all, in his opinion, a very simple soil in the construction area.

The m3 excavation volumes were given by him, I take them as a basis.

Please tell me how he then comes up with 36k total costs from the values and even better: 16k pure landfill costs?

If you had talked to the guy, you would know what I'm talking about and where the skepticism comes from, believe me.

In my opinion, it doesn’t make any sense to break it down like that. If he is clearly ahead of the others overall... maybe he just isn’t interested and/or doesn’t have time. He just makes an offer that is "too expensive."

Ask him explicitly how he comes to that. We paid €16,000 all-inclusive 5 years ago, but that is no longer possible with the current price increases.

We have a 10x11 house with a basement. Excavation should roughly fit. However, soil class 3.

As mentioned, things will start with us soon, then I will know more precisely.

You just don’t have many options. The landfills within reach are usually quite scarce, and doing it yourself is also difficult. Ask a civil engineer or landscaper, they often have some good contacts.

Our price for loading/hauling/disposal up to max. Z1.1 was €21.60/t net. Loosening the soil and excavation are extra. But all the comparisons don’t help much. If the regional landfills are full, then the last one has the monopoly.

The earthworks at our site were completed just three weeks ago. Our house with a basement is roughly 12.5 by 10 meters, and the earthworks contractor estimated 1200 tons of excavated soil. Ultimately, according to the landfill invoices, it was 15xx tons because the soil was significantly wetter than could be assumed based on the soil survey.

We paid nearly 40,000 euros just for the disposal of the soil.
