I still find it crazy and wonder how an average person is supposed to afford this. We have to blow our entire inheritance on the construction and still pay off for 30 years or more. Without equity/inheritance, it would probably already be over at the shell construction of the basement.

The average person does not develop a hillside property. The average person does not live with one child in 200m². (how many children are you actually planning?)

Rubber seals against dust and kitchen fumes! If the prices are what they are, I either have to raise my pain threshold or live without rubber seals and the like. That I don't get an E-Class for the price of a Punto is clear.

Without a slope there are no building plots here. The plot itself was already a stroke of luck, which we only got through the waiting list procedure. And seen that way, already a bargain, since in other building areas double the prices are asked for half the current plot size. OK, 200 sqm is indeed a decent size and all the more generous with only 1 child (we/I can/cannot afford a 2nd child anymore due to demands and our age).

So rubber seals on the kitchen are strange, totally unnecessary and probably expensive too. When building, you have to be careful not to be talked into such nonsense, the risk is high
