We have a Zehnder Q350 and are very satisfied. The ventilation is also planned directly by Zehnder, as far as I understood the sanitary at the time.

at how many sqm and is everything fine in terms of noise? Were you also faced with the question of which controlled residential ventilation system to choose?

best regards

For 200 sqm, the 350 is the smallest system I would install. Probably rather 400.

Hello,
we also have a Zehnder Q350. Completely self-installed, it is time-consuming but technically not a big deal. You don’t need an electrician, the unit has a plug that you just plug into the socket...
The entire material cost us about 8,000 euros, the offers were around 20k €.... that was significantly overpriced. I only had the raw builder install the heat exchanger. For us, these are simple KG 2000 (the green ones) wastewater pipes in 200 mm diameter. About 40 m of them are buried in the garden.

You don’t have to do core drilling if you communicate the necessary openings to the ceiling builder. Then they are already planned for the filigree ceilings. This has the big advantage that they are considered in the statics and you cannot hit any lines during core drilling.
The general planning was done for us by Mr. Schliebe from ......... (just google the words "lüftungs" and "net"). I also bought the material from him, the prices were very, very good back then. Overall it worked very well, but you only get a general plan with the throughputs etc. The detailed execution plan, like how you install the lines on the raw screed, you do yourself and he takes a look at it. So you should be able to work with AutoCAD.

Overall, this is a trade you can do relatively well yourself and save a lot of money, but:

[*]don’t underestimate the time required for planning and coordination with the other trades. You have to do the execution planning and familiarize yourself first. This takes several days and you have to be willing to do it.
[*]We have 270 sqm of ventilated area (ground floor, upper floor and basement). The installation took about 10-11 man-days in total. I messed up some things but next time it would certainly take 2/3 of the time.
[*]Critical is the coordination in the construction process. You have to lay the pipes at a very specific time, and the other trades have to keep still during this time. Your general contractor has to cooperate and you must also reliably have time at this point. Any delay leads to a delay in the further process...

Best regards,
Andreas

cool, that's some input. Are you satisfied with it, any noises or problems? I am the GU myself, the architect is an acquaintance. Therefore, I also plan the trades and can plan a buffer. How many sqm of living space do you have, regarding Q350-Q400 (if it were 270 sqm, wouldn't the 350 be too small?), many here in the forum have the Zehnder, from what I've read, is there a reason for that? (Back then, Vallox was suggested to me) What I mostly miss at the beginning is the point of which manufacturer I will start with.

I believe there is no 400, the next size up is the 450.

The 350 also seems a bit small for 270 sqm. We have the 450 for 225 sqm and are satisfied. However, ours is located in the attic, separated by a concrete ceiling. I can set the system to the highest level and we don’t hear anything at night.

I am somewhat disappointed with the enthalpy heat exchanger. When we moved in March, when it was still colder outside, we had almost the same low indoor humidity as in our old rental apartment with controlled ventilation without ET. Let's see how it will be in winter.
