Hello,
the size fits for us, the system runs with us anyway continuously at only 175 m^3/h. That means for our approximately 650 m^3 room volume of the house, that the air in the house is completely exchanged every about 220 minutes. That is enough to keep the air pleasantly fresh throughout the entire house permanently. However, after showering we also open the window in the bathroom for a few minutes and do not expect the system to completely ventilate the humidity from the shower by itself. Otherwise, our windows and doors are basically always closed.

If you want significantly higher air exchange rates, it is not enough to simply nail a larger device to the wall in the basement. You will also need significantly more pipes and outlets so that you have neither noise nor drafts.

Best regards,

Andreas

That's exactly what I want to get at, but for example, does the good Mr. Schliebe inquire about that? So also a check of the positioned supply/exhaust air per room/overall concept?

Does anyone else have an opinion on manufacturer types?

Best regards

The Zehnder also detects when you are showering, or when there is increased humidity in the house. Then it switches to full capacity for a certain period.

We are satisfied. But we only have 150m². I would always choose this device again (or a bigger one, if necessary).
Don't forget the internet interface! You have to buy this separately for (I think) 100€. It is then connected via LAN. (So don't forget a LAN connection at the installation location...)
Then you have access to all the system's data and settings at ANY TIME. It's all quite interesting! And you can change quite a bit, optimize, create schedules, etc.

Hi,

Yep, you can do something like that. We consciously decided against it because we didn’t want to sit in a “draft” in the living room, or hear the noise of the ventilation just because it is more humid in the bathroom. But it’s a matter of taste.

You do indeed have to buy the LAN interface separately. It’s a connection module that you still have to connect with 4 wires. I think it cost about €150 back then. But it’s not a must, just a nice to have. In my opinion, one shouldn’t have to fiddle much with such a system. Set it once and then forget about it, similar to heating.

Best regards,

Andreas

Can you take a look at my newly opened thread? According to the data, I have a similar house to yours, but my nominal ventilation is designed for 221m³/h. Would it be possible to get insight into your ventilation concept somehow? Private messages are not enabled for me here.
