As can be read in the thread about air conditioning on a south-facing slope, I am currently having a multi-split air conditioner retrofitted in an old building. If you want to pre-install it, you naturally need at least the corresponding channels for the cables to run through and, depending on the situation, also the installation possibility for ceiling cassettes, if you don't want a box on the wall.
