Off Topic: Somehow in every one of your posts there is a disparagement of authorities or humanity in general.

Yes, I think it would be best to present the building application directly to the entire neighborhood. Something like: "If anyone has any objections to this construction, let them speak now or forever hold their peace."

Edit: Clearly, I reject all of humanity.

I think you should reconsider your mindset regarding fictional accusations.

It is what it is. If you deliberately provoke the neighborhood with your construction, you have to expect the backlash. And the building authority does not speak infallibly ex cathedra.

No, I don't want to provoke them. I just want to make sure that the construction, if planned and approved that way, can actually be carried out as such. I think everyone who builds wants that. No one wants a dispute. And so I am looking for a solution that is watertight.

For us, it was (unconsciously, but to our advantage) such that the architect "made a mistake" and did not comply with the 3m distance to the street. In other words, the wall has the prescribed distance, but the roof overhang extends into these 3m. As I said, it's fine with us, but we did not commission it that way. Eventually, we only received a "ticket" from the building authority and had to pay <100.-€. I suppose it would be similar with a bay window...
