You are describing a picture of the craftsman here ... Would you say that to the people’s faces as well? Do you really believe that *deliberately* poor quality is delivered here because the owner's nose (who ultimately pays the wages) doesn’t suit them? Or because of his suit or her skirt?

Of course I tell people that to their face - on construction sites there is nothing but plain talk.

But what might have come across wrongly: Of course you can't say that about ALL craftsmen in general - but especially in the shell construction area, I can almost guarantee you that a client in a suit looks ridiculous to the workers there.

And this is how it is: An architect, surveyor, etc. is all well and good - but they will never be able to check everything. There is no 100% construction...

They may smile at a suit-wearer on the construction site, quietly, silently, and gossiping among themselves - but any impoliteness openly displayed, however, brings many things, but certainly no approval or acceptance. That’s how it works with us, and I can’t imagine that it’s handled differently on other construction sites. After all, we all "also" live from a suit-wearer, provided he grants us his temporary trust. It may be different if you align yourself with the craftsmen; then you are accepted. It may well be that you become a witness to their private conversations/thoughts. But carrying these "outside" remains a no-go. For better understanding – I don’t mean harmless teasing ;-) Rhineland greetings from the road Construction expert

Exactly, that was the point - of course, one would never be openly antagonized.

To get back to the topic...

Construction performance insurance and builders' liability insurance are often offered as a combination. I just recently took out a policy. I didn’t want a broker or intermediary. And since I’m not a fan of personal consultation but prefer to compare and apply for everything online immediately, I am convinced by wgv online in terms of coverage, simple online processing and transparency, price, and speed. By the way, the price is also convincing without being employed in the public sector.

I took out the residential building insurance including free fire shell construction coverage with Huk. Just as simple, clear, and transparent. And very good in terms of price. Huk24 is even cheaper, with the same personal service in case of damage as Huk, but contract matters can only be done online. Unfortunately, they don’t offer construction performance insurance, otherwise I would have liked to take it out there as well.

I thought the same until recently: better alone and without a broker.
Huk was also interesting. However, there is an initial discount of 60 percent specifically for the building insurance. In the second year, it is only 48 percent. In the third, 34. Then in 2 percent steps.

Interrisk is often recommended in this context.

We have a detailed conversation with the "independent" insurance broker scheduled in a week. I can report if needed.
