Hello,
Please don’t listen to the two "fortune hunters" either! In total, €800.00 will certainly not be missed in your investment; even if it were, it would be reckless to forgo the soil survey, because not only the civil engineering works but the entire foundation is based on the results of the survey.
If your BU is as you assess it and as I now also have the impression, he will confirm my recommendation to you
Then carry out the BV project with him and don’t let yourself be unsettled. Besides the numbers, intuition is an important decision-maker; even a partnership for a limited time must be able to handle conflicts. Think of securities; if your BU is the one you believe you have in front of you, it won’t be a "Jehovah issue" for him.
There will always be a provider who performs the services cheaper; but in the end, from my experience, the costs for a house "X" generally end up about the same. Of course, you can adjust the key data such as wall thickness or insulation – equipment is rather marginal and can be reduced or increased independently of the provider – whether it is effective (was) only becomes apparent during the course of "living" in the single-family house built this way; certainly later when selling the property. The Energy Saving Ordinance 2014 and its successors already wave goodbye. The Rhinelanders are a travel-loving people
Good luck!
I didn’t want to start a fundamental discussion about the usefulness of soil surveys, even though I’m interested.

It may be that there is someone who is €20k cheaper, but I would still stick with my GÜ because I trust him and have already planned with him for a long time. If someone is €50k cheaper, then I become suspicious and wonder what he does differently that he is cheaper, is it at the expense of the execution quality? I cannot judge the prices because I am not an expert in this field. Our GÜ only builds within approximately 20km, he has built about 500 houses in his career, and he lives on recommendations from homeowners to each other. The head of the local building authority also told me that he belongs to the "good" ones.
