Hello everyone,
I want to replace my roller shutter belt winder with an electric one. Although you can connect it to the socket using a 2-core cable with a Euro plug, I don't find that visually appealing. Now I have thought about making a slit with a hammer and chisel from the socket, which is only a few centimeters away, and laying the cable flush to the socket. It would make sense to connect the cable directly to the socket, which on the one hand looks more elegant, and on the other hand I could also use the socket for other purposes. Now my question: Is it that simple? Since the cable from the belt winder is only 2-core, I wonder if that is okay, because the ground is missing. I would not connect it myself but ask an electrician, however, I could only save the slit and the work for the flush-mounted solution if that is not possible. Thanks a lot in advance.
