I was rather thinking that if the walls are plastered, to have the ceiling plastered normally as well. It's a very common procedure in many houses (I hardly know it any other way here with us, despite filigree ceilings).

Oh, so you mean I should ask the plasterer how many "Kästen Bier" he would plaster the ceiling for?

Use a cheap paint. It directly adds pigments to the material. Then paint once with good paint from a specialist store, done. Saves one coat. Our painters always do it that way. The work costs the money.

This won't be settled with cases full of beer.

My painter filled and sanded the ceilings in the basement. We painted.

He got us a paint (mipa "blue bucket") at 3€/liter, compared to that Alpina with the cat is nothing. You won't manage the filling and sanding.

Tip from the painter: 2 parts paint, 1 part primer, and 1 part water. That's your base coat. After that, you only have to paint once more.

This was also recommended to us in the MIPA shop. Have you tested that yet?

Basically, there are 2 possibilities: only filler the joints or the entire ceiling evenly. With the joints, of course, there is always the possibility that an edge will become visible with grazing light (especially if the work is not done very cleanly). In the basement, we only fill the joints, and in the rest of the house, then the entire ceiling. Plastering the ceiling would of course also be possible...

Yes, I have, we did the first coat ourselves. Because of that, in the basement rooms you don’t even need a second coat. In the hobby basement with underfloor heating, it will be painted again. But even there I will dilute with water.
