OK, this can already assess the load-bearing capacity of the soil.

However, whether there are problems with rising or non-draining water, this test is rather unlikely to prove.

To me, a meaningful soil report is definitely worth the EUR 1,000.00 - EUR 1,200.00.

But to each their own...

Dirk

What measures would then be taken? A horizontal sealing of the floor slab is a matter of course for me.

@kochones:

Yes, that doesn't sound bad.

But what happens if your property has different soil classes?

What if the soil bearing capacity is not sufficient?

What if the excavated soil is not suitable for compaction?

As I wrote above - personally, I would not take that risk on myself...

That is clear.

But there are other "enhancements".

For example, WU basement, white tank, black tank, ...

What is then necessary in case of doubt can only be seen without an expert opinion once the pit has been excavated. Hopefully, there is still enough money left then...

With the basement, you should of course already know what is coming or assume the worst and be happy if it turns out to be less.

Yes sure, you are right....if one or another factor has negative properties it gets more expensive.

I don't think it will be that bad. Especially since the plot is located in a district over 50 years old....this one plot alone remained undeveloped. All others are built with bungalows and semi-detached houses with basements due to the slope....slope difference as already mentioned.....about 1m height difference in the building area. Therefore, I do not assume poor soil....because if there was pressing water or similar....there would be something visible somewhere or neighbors.....they would have problems in the basement....but they don't....the direct neighbor (north neighbor) has a dry basement with absolutely no signs of moisture.....year of construction 1962. So.....???

But I will definitely order an expert....it is worth it to me.
