Hold on! This is not about assessing whether you can afford the loan. If I HAVE to break down the food expenses, then I should basically reconsider the loan. It's more about the classic monthly breakdown. How high is the loan portion, what do you pay for reserves, electricity, water, gas, etc. So you can compare how you stand.

200 euros garden (it is large)

65 euros household items (detergents etc.)
85 euros personal care (drugstore items, but also hairdresser)
130 euros clothing (all four)
140 euros school (this and that, regular public schools)
450 euros hobby, leisure, vacation, excursions

160 euros gifts (excl. among the four of us)
15 euros toys and the like
80 euros music school
65 euros parties, hospitality
770 euros cars (there is a very long commute included; normally 250 euros/month would have sufficed)

60 euros telephone/internet
10 euros office supplies
20 euros pocket money (children)
40 euros health costs
25 euros advertising costs (association membership etc.)

Well then, I’ll also share my numbers. So that there’s something a bit off the norm here.
I’ll orient myself on the initial table from the thread starter and will add a few points.

We are a married couple with two children (4 and 2 years old).
We live in our own house, which is however a two-family house. The second apartment is rented out. The "managed" plot area is 1600 sqm.

House Additional Costs
Electricity -70.00 €
Gas -42 €
Firewood -15.00 €
Sewage/Fresh Water -20.00 €
Taxes (monthly) (Property tax) -10.00 €
Chimney (monthly) -6.00 €
Household contents/legal protection/liability insurance/life insurance/disability insurance/building insurance -122.00 €
Garbage fee -5.00 €
Entertainment/Media
Entertainment programs (Amazon) -6.00 €
Internet/Telephony -20.00 €
Mobile contracts + phones (1 person + business phone) -8.00 €
Mobility
Car insurance -36.00 €
Fuel -73.00 €
General car (/inspection/taxes/repairs) -110.00 €
Train ticket to get to work -146 €
Miscellaneous
Bank fees -13.00 €
Food -310.00 €
Activities -90.00 €
Children -225 €
Health/medicines and sports -40 €
Clothing -30.00 €
Tools/household appliances, repairs -40 €
Miscellaneous consumption -80 €
Chickens and garden -65.00 €
Total Expenses -1,582.00 €

Then the monthly mortgage payment of 1,623 € is added.
Additionally, the 5,000 € special repayment.

The rest of the monthly surpluses from income sources:
- Employment as an engineer 75%, he
- Side business inflatable castle rental, he
- Rental of the second apartment
- Self-employment as a fashion designer and course instructor, she
- Course instructor at the adult education center, she
- Child benefit
- Profits from the photovoltaic system, spouses' GbR (just starting now)
(- Possibly soon: side job as janitor at kindergarten, he)

are saved and then used to repay the first two loans as far as possible after 10 years.

But since now an additional new build is planned at the back of the garden, the surpluses will probably be needed for the loan ^^

Cheers
Specki
