How do you tinker with income? Pay raises. Otherwise, I have experienced this: increasing income = increasing expenses. Holidays further and further away, etc. I have said goodbye to frugality.

Different job, additional (self-employed) work.

More income = more expenses? That is free will, or is someone forcing you? We don't do it that way.

Sounds like a photovoltaic skeptic. Why should I include interest there, I don’t do that in the other ancillary costs either.
As writes, I could also say electricity expenses for heating and house €87 and income €82, but in the end it’s the same.

how do you manage with such low water costs ops:, we pay about 100 euros per month.

Water prices vary greatly. Here, fresh water costs I believe €1.70 per cubic meter. Assuming 150 cubic meters, that's €22 a month. On top of that comes twice as much for wastewater. At least in our case, in the next town it may look completely different.
