Exactly the same thing happened to us with our new tiles. I already wanted to tear the stuff out. It turned out, through a chance visit by a craftsman, that there was a coating on the tiles that reacted. After cleaning with a special agent, it was completely okay. And it has been okay for almost 10 years now. And before that, I had tried almost all agents myself.

That sounds encouraging. What kind of agent was it?
I happened to be at a tile specialty store today. The gentleman said I should try cleaning the tiles with a construction site final cleaner to remove cleaner residues and such. Could it be something like that?

Hello, we are also struggling with the stains. It never looks like it's been wiped properly. So what was the magic product? Construction site final cleaner?

Can you then describe the problem in more detail? For example, I don’t know what to watch out for with the tiles!

There was some kind of coating on it from the factory that reacted with the cleaning water. Over time, more and more stains and streaks appeared. I had tried everything I could buy. There was nothing from the hardware store that I didn’t have. Nothing helped. Then, because of another issue, the tiler was on site, and of course he noticed it. He remembered that years ago at one of his construction sites he had the same problem. The bottom line: he got a product with which he cleaned the tiles. Super strong, with a mask and on his knees mechanically scrubbing the floor. But the coating came off and from that minute on, never any more problems.

I initially had a similar problem with our countertop. There must have been something factory-applied on it as well. What helped was a vigorous treatment with a so-called "Schmutzradierer". After that, the countertop was perfect.. no strange marks anymore. Testing doesn't cost anything..
