City villa floor plan - Please provide suggestions

Hello! So I don't find the house too big, nice rooms. The kitchen is very nice, there is really space ;-) For the dressing room, I would like to point out that various cabinets and possibly a chest of drawers etc. are to be placed here. The Ikea Pax, for example, is either 36 or 58 cm deep. I have attached our floor plan as inspiration, as well as a picture of the kitchen.

Great, thanks. I really like yours and upstairs is very similar to ours. I also like the option with the bathroom in the other place; although we wouldn’t have a passage from our bedroom anymore, we would then have more space in the bathroom since we would need one less door. I have forwarded it to our architect. I also really like the kitchen, although my husband insists on an island. I also liked the L-shaped one. Let’s see what it will be in the end.

Your U-shaped kitchen is very large and will accordingly be quite expensive. We have just bought our kitchen and visited several kitchen studios. We had price differences of 6000 euros for the same kitchen, but our kitchen is also not as big as yours.

I’m not a fan of these symmetrical city villas – you pay for a lot of living space, but get less out of it because the design includes buffers everywhere to make it symmetrical. And viewed neutrally, it’s absolutely unexciting.

"Unexciting" is a very mild way to put it. The absolute priority on symmetry not only adds fat cushions in terms of space but often destroys any sense of successful proportions. And when you try to spice up the boredom of the shapes (with “Tuscan” tiered skirts or the like), the result is a house in "end-of-the-broom" style. Basically a built proof that taste cannot be bought. If it’s supposed to be aesthetic, symmetry must not be overused.
