I don't have thawed rolls, but dough pieces that are freshly baked!
(Nothing else is available today in most bakeries or bake shops)

Sometimes I make some myself, sometimes we get fresh ones from the neighboring village

And for some, the baked goods taste like they have been frozen twice and reheated three times.

Total off-topic burst in...
The easiest rolls ever:
500g flour, 350ml lukewarm water, 25g fresh yeast, 1.5 tsp salt
Stir together briefly in the evening, cover and put directly in the fridge (don’t let it rise or anything!)
In the morning, shape about 8 rolls, put seeds on top as desired and bake at 250°C for about 8 minutes

Takes just as long as baking frozen rolls and is faster, cheaper and (usually) better than store-bought anyway.

Well, rolls are just the beginning. My wife moved here from Duisburg and would never move back to a big city. She sees the advantages of living in the countryside here.
Whether it's the homemade food or simply the peace when drinking a glass of wine outside..... PRICELESS

That’s true. If you don’t just order from a delivery service, a decent kitchen is worth a lot.

We will start building in 2023 (even more rural and this time with a basement) and are already looking forward to the processing room in the basement.

Life in the countryside is nice, you just have to find a village where you’re not cut off from the world.
