Good evening,
House built in 1980.
Basement with driveway and parking space. Basement below street level.
Camera inspection was done at the sewage pipe (stoneware pipe running diagonally under the house) and it was seen that it has settled. One pipe section was slightly sloping upwards in the flow direction.
Today, dug from the outside to the strip foundation and saw that there is a large cavity between the pipe and the basement floor (15 cm thick, no foundation).
At some point, the pipes outside were replaced and the connection to the pipe under the house was not done properly. (Pipes were just placed next to each other without sealing rings)
This leak further promoted the settling of the ground.
What do you suggest? Should the cavity be compacted and sealed?
If yes, how?
Have a nice evening
