I have just been googling that over the last few days, because we also want a carport roof with extensive greenery. It does not seem to be very complicated and apparently you can do it yourself quite well. Allegedly, you can also get a grant, a subsidized loan, or a tax bonus from KFW. I have not yet dealt with the details, I am just starting out with the topic.Dear community, we want to put an airy carport basically in the front yard, so that the long side runs parallel to the street. To improve the chances of the carport being approved by the building authority regarding building regulations, I came up with the idea of making a green roof for the carport and also greening the sides with climbing plants on a trellis or similar (which would also serve as privacy screening towards the street and some weather protection). What do you think about that? Is it sensible or will it only cause trouble over the years? The carport must then also have a walkable roof and will be more expensive because of that...
