I have been watching every major free-to-air international football tournament via Telekom Magenta TV, formerly called entertain, for almost 10 years. I have never had the problem that any server crashes. Not even in 2014 against Brazil or Argentina. Since my TV is not on the terrace but in the living room, no one cheers or cries audibly earlier than I do.

Are there currently any options to receive this without a separate receiver or app on the smart TV? In other words, I turn on the TV and can zap through the channels? That is what is currently stopping me from using Magenta TV.

With IPTV, this is only possible via the TV’s software. It is quite possible that in the near future (or even today?) TVs will allow this to be integrated as desired. However, it will not be possible without configuration.

This is about which system or provider should be installed in the house. Since a trench to the house has already been or will be created anyway, I would definitely have both installed in the house. This way you will have all options open in the future.

In this case, it also depends on the costs. Our cable operator wanted a net €17K. We then declined that thankfully. However, it must be said that the telecommunications company wanted just as much for fiber optic to the house. Therefore, we now only have VDSL.

If FTTH is available, I wouldn't hesitate. We have it too, it's the safest for the future. And latencies are virtually non-existent. <2-3 ms>
