Well, I don't think the window is such a drastic change. The architect and you simply missed and overlooked point 6.3. It happens sometimes. No idea what else happened, but that doesn't automatically make the architect bad. Primarily, she is just implementing your wishes. Whatever. Move the window, done :)

Unfortunately, you can't just change something in the plans so easily anymore. Either we have to withdraw the application and submit a new one, or possibly the building notification, or just leave everything as it is and wait up to 2 months for the special permit from the municipality... we still feel badly advised. Surely it is also our fault, but that's why the architect was paid – to prepare the documents so that you get a building permit, not headaches and further costly delays.

Well then let's go:
Change the application, print it out multiple times, signature orgy, submit it personally at the office --> all done by tomorrow noon.

Well, commissioning a project for several hundred thousand euros automatically means a lot of personal responsibility and commitment. No matter the area of life, I never rely solely on the opinion of one! expert. At the very least, I perform a plausibility check using my general knowledge (that's what they drilled into me in math back in the day!). Or I ask my family or other experts ;)

Ever thought about hiring an independent construction supervisor?

Sorry, don’t get me wrong, but what’s all this abstract smart-ass nonsense about? I clearly formulated my question: does anyone have experience with a building notification and can comment on the risks? Or does it make sense to cancel the ongoing building application now, or would that possibly result in even more chaos?
In my opinion, I don’t need to be lectured here. I myself am a construction manager in civil engineering and have enough on my plate every day professionally. So yes, I have to be able to rely on others from time to time and also expect them to know their job!
And since they apparently don’t, I’m now investing my time chasing after this bureaucratic crap and trying to save a situation that should actually have been avoided from the start. But that’s not the main question here, who is to blame for what.

More wishful thinking than reality, unfortunately... Even in the simplified procedure, the application is not approved directly by the building authority, but is sent again to the forestry office etc. They need 2 weeks for the review. So we will have to wait another month. Therefore, it is rather a pointless alternative to submit the building application anew. Either a building notification or accept the situation as it is now and wait until the municipality wakes up.
