Just like the diameter of the downpipe of your toilet ;)

So my general contractor says that the materials used exceed the standard and therefore he does not make any calculations and this is the architect's task. I even believe him and my layman's knowledge also tells me that our house is more towards KFW55 than KFW70. Nevertheless, if someone comes along and wants to see the proof, we simply have nothing. Therefore, we have now commissioned it.

That's nice, but from which standard and which century does your general contractor assume? And would KfW70 even still be permissible? (When was it approved?) And even if he perhaps installs materials that exceed the standard, does he also install them correctly without thermal bridges or cold bridges?

By the way, I have also seen offers where it basically said: 1 server sufficient fast (seriously!)

You will probably not believe it, but the required pipe diameter is also regulated by a DIN standard (DIN 1986) ;-)

He might even be right there, because the planning is indeed the architect's responsibility.

Exactly! But the pipe is neither specially applied for nor is there a calculation in the building application because it is subject to a DIN standard.
And therefore, it could be that a house according to the applicable Building Energy Act, i.e., the minimum standard, does not need to be specially demonstrated. It would be a line of thought and a guess from me, nothing more.
