That's true, we once had that experience in a neighboring apartment – that's partly why I have an aversion to noise disturbances/neighbor music.
I had a neighbor who got her education from Bild and worked "mainly at night under a reddish lamp in the window." She blasted loud music day and night, and when we tried to talk to her, she would either respond with "so what?" or "I can't help that you work during the day."
I don't know how many times I called the police on her. Afterwards, there was always 15 minutes of quiet, then it got loud again. I think at some point the police even took her sound system, but apparently she found another one.
We also complained to the landlord about the situation – he informed us that he had been trying to evict her for over half a year because she also didn’t pay rent. But always shortly before the eviction order, she paid a PARTIAL amount of the due rent – and just like that, the order was off the table. o_O
That's why I have no desire to rent out. I want to hold max. shares in real estate corporations, but I don't want to waste my time with "direct renting."
