How many builders of highly insulated houses wonder why these are too hot in summer? If someone in practice is not super disciplined or inclined to keep the windows closed and organize shading, the heat enters the house and is no longer let out by the insulation. So much for heat protection and real-life experience regarding insulation. : The decision depends on your goals. These could be:
[*]lowest total acquisition costs to preserve liquidity / reduce a loan [*]lowest total costs including operation over a period [*]"best" balance between climate-friendly and economic decision (whatever "best" then is) [*]compatibility of the desired technology to be used [*]personal attitude towards subsidies and application procedures
We found all the subsidy guidelines cumbersome and partly technically restrictive. We didn’t feel like dealing with it and simply left it. Whether that was financially wise – probably not, I didn’t follow up. I cannot recommend our approach to anyone I don’t really know well. What I can recommend: make a confident decision and don’t look back afterwards. That makes you content and takes a burden away.

Insulation helps against heat. Of course, only with shading and relatively closed windows during the day and not relying solely on the controlled residential ventilation at night. So far, it has always been bright and relatively cool in the house. New buildings are sluggish. Sluggish in heating up (as long as the sun does not enter unhindered), sluggish in cooling down.

From a mathematical point of view, you are getting something "for free" and in your case, it is not just a subsidy or an incentive, but a full payment by the state. For one person, you then have the better house at the same price, for another, the equally nice house with more effort or things that you would never have wanted without a subsidy. I would deal with your individual upgrade items and clarify for myself whether I want to have them. I always advocate not just doing this by research, because some people are already annoyed when they have to change a filter, and others enjoy spending nights working on the programming of the heat pump. I can understand both. Personally, despite planned controlled residential ventilation, I would still need the feeling of an open or openable window, just as the visible fire of the fireplace is important to me. For many, it is different, so you should precisely explore which things are important to you. General statements or tendencies will probably bring you less; what I like can be complete nonsense to you. The topic of ventilation and your own behavior or needs, I would put that right at the front. My son had a sauna feeling in his rented apartment in the attic until this one small roof window got an external shading; since then, it has been like day and night. A small roof window can have considerable effects. It is like a shoe that must fit exactly you and only you!

With the new conditions, KFW55 or KFW40 is practically given away, or you even end up with a small profit. The prerequisite is that the construction company does not ask for too much.

Controlled residential ventilation does not exclude airing through windows. Just as a note. The rumor persists

Of course not airing. How is it in daily use? In-out-in-out... especially with children.
