If she wants to...

I was lucky that my husband and I could always take turns caring for the children, so early external childcare was never an option and we were still able to have our 5 desired children. And we both work in our dream jobs. Early external childcare would not have been an option for any house in the world for us. I think you have to be honest with each other and weigh things up and also keep the long-term family happiness in mind. It is very individual what families want for their everyday family life.

The income is not little either – and training should also be rewarded. But you can read: most have worked and saved (or invested) for a few years first before starting to build a house.

Life is unfortunately not a cornucopia. Even if somewhere you are taught the "I want, I want," you have to later learn that not everything is possible – at least not everything at once.

Many also weigh having a second or third child because children cost money – building a house or owning property does too.

Families with more than 2 children simply do not have the potential to have much left at the end of the month, unless they earn excessively or are positively dependent on local allowances, child-related increases, or something like civil servants, where a third child can actually pay off financially.

Why wouldn’t a used property do? There you have an overview of the actual costs – building a house can become very confusing, so a hidden savings stash or an early inheritance during one’s lifetime must be a necessary financial boost.

And not just financially. What you have to do and take care of besides work is certainly not easy. We haven't even started yet and slowly I'm losing interest with all the dealings with authorities, etc. The OP should also keep that in mind. Because if one person takes care of 2 (3) small children, everything else related to the house falls on the other.

Of course, I can’t really estimate the actual effort for building a house right now. But I’m not going into it naively either. I’m glad that so many people have gotten in touch! Great. Thanks to all the [Member]! PS: I will definitely look around for a [Gebrauchtimmo]! Regards

You also need equity for that. You have plenty of time to look.
