@ ...sounds very good. Nice!

@ ...nobody has been whining here yet. And this "I want I want I want" mentality is very well taught in the daycares! Look closer. I see more of a problem that the educators have no time to effectively engage with the little one. Overload!

If by "luck" you mean the country of birth (I was lucky to be born in Germany instead of Africa) or the parental home (a reasonable childhood), then I agree with you. Otherwise, I don’t know where I have been lucky. I have thought intensively and again and again about my business and worked very hard for 15 years... that had nothing to do with luck.

I’m probably expressing myself somewhat exaggeratedly... but you surely understand me. Basically, I want to tell you: Change something about your situation (more income and/or more saving or winning the lottery)... OR accept that it simply isn’t enough for property.

@ ... that is of course also a must.

I have just developed a financial plan. It is running and saving is already going on diligently. Now the question is about the 3rd child. If yes, then my wife will first work on the side. And if not, then definitely part-time. I am not sure about further training opportunities... she is a dental assistant. There is certainly something.

Otherwise maybe look for something completely different for my wife!

It is in the nature of human thinking to overestimate one’s own contribution when it comes to luck.
I am sure there is at least one equally hardworking person as you are who was able to set aside less money.

@ ....therefore I am also very glad that my children were born here. In Germany you definitely have more opportunities and support.

But let's wait and see what will happen in Germany in 15 years :I

Nothing comes from nothing. This mentality is also foreign to me. That’s why I caught up with my high school diploma, studied, fought through countless part-time jobs and internships, and now I belong to the middle class. But it always goes on...!
