Build a new half-timbered house solidly inside?

They can certainly last several centuries but what good does that do you? And on the other hand... think of all the archaeological monuments that are preserved above ground... what are they made of? The more durable material is of course stone or adobe bricks etc... certainly not wood. The main reason why there were/are so many houses with wooden frameworks or mostly made of wood is the fact that it was more readily available and easier to work with than stone

It seems to me that the OP just expressed herself awkwardly and does not mean interior walls, but the inside of exterior walls. Therefore, I also interpreted it as a curtain facade. However, I cannot make anything of the statement because putting beams quasi like an ETICS in front of a sand-lime brick shell does not change the fact that the house has "structurally" masonry walls. Overall, I get the impression that is trying to circle the house planning topic with very naive questions surfacing at long intervals. Each time some old wives’ tale is hoped to be the red thread that would help get to the core of the Pandora’s box that is housebuilding. Three years ago, she tried the idea whether a city villa with an offset shed roof might be closer to the Columbus egg, the Eureka effect did not happen; and now she hopes that revisiting the half-timbered house question from four years ago might this time be a growing seed. The saving thought was not yet there. Instead of hoping for a meaning in the approach of quasi putting a solid house inside a half-timbered house, I advise a way that countless other forum users take, and which in my opinion has proven to be more purposeful: namely simply to open a thread here that starts with a completed questionnaire, and to leave the rest to the bacterial culture of collective intelligence. Otherwise, we will meet here in 2022 again in another helpless partial aspect question and still not be 5 cm closer to the house.

Perhaps it is good that it did not progress. The general contractor-broker-something company that seemed interesting for the TE back then, with a big presence and the lowest prices, no longer exists.

Is that correct? But what is meant by the completed questionnaire and the bacterial culture?

Just a quick question for understanding: In your opinion, it's no longer possible to build a new half-timbered house because the energy standards cannot be met. So the facade has to be covered from the outside? Or do you mean the inside? Honestly, in both cases, that is absolute nonsense.

In our region, there is a company that builds new half-timbered houses (google gives good results for deutsche Landhausklassiker or dlk melle) that have KFW 55 as a minimum standard and like to build KfW40 and passive houses.

You have to be able to afford it and have a good provider. But technically, it seems feasible.
