The example of the robber was not even extraordinary (we had actually already defused all the significant danger points in the discussion), but it has contributed significantly to the fact that I now set the GU limit so humorlessly low.

Thanks for the advice :) What’s interesting about our project is that the construction execution is very simple. From a structural point of view, it’s child's play. There are no critical points where one would have to say "only a specialist could carry this out." No balconies, just a single central staircase from the ground floor to the first floor. Only vertical walls, no sloping roofs. Very clear lines without nooks in rooms or actually useless transitional spaces

Unfortunately, my crystal ball didn’t tell me that ;-) Honestly, if you’re looking for advice, you have to provide information so that the advice is useful.

I just can't remember the "reason" why the rear gate of the drive-through garage became lower than the front one. There are simply things that you can only respond to with a Dujardin, and others where you then need a Doornkaat. And you can also catch a bedroom behind a bathroom completely without structural gymnastics, as will surely soon become a trend (here on the forum a gifted self-planner in Saarland wants it on a basis inspired by Bien-Zenker Wuppertal, and another one in Westerwald with Stommel Haus – which, as a narrow-minded killjoy, does not make sense to me in either case).

Of course, quality control is taken into account. For such a project, an external expert from our side will timely inspect the individual trades for dimensional accuracy and execution according to detailed plans regarding the constructed components. The construction manager alone is not sufficient for us. Sorry, I do not understand your sentence "place a bedroom behind a bathroom".

I call that dry humor – the robber didn’t have just one expert. You haven’t been reading here for long (?) I don’t understand it either, but that’s not on the semantic level. and @(neo-)sciliar still seem to consider it the proverbial wheel reinvented – the latter even with the reason utterly incomprehensible to me that in case of fire one would escape faster via the detour through a bathroom than if the bedroom were directly adjacent to the hallway. There are trains of thought for which I have to frankly admit that they are a bit over my head. Maybe I should have gotten a PhD after all.
