Just answer the repeatedly asked question about the concrete extent of the problem, then you will get proper answers...

Have you canceled?

Did you report the defect in writing beforehand?

Does anyone have an idea about the clearance height? Since I am not D. Nowitzki, it works for the moment, but the son will easily bump his head later. Unbelievable how much frustration such a badly planned staircase can cause, way too long, when looking up you constantly look at the edge instead of into a spacious room, and during transport you bump into it. If I had been asked, I would have made it 50cm shorter.

Damn, processing time expired, I missed the last messages because of all the notifications.

Does anyone have an idea about the clearance height? It will be around 197cm from the constructed line to the ceiling edge, if I place the folding rule on the third stair tread edge, I measure 190cm to the ceiling edge about 5-10cm away. In the photo, the measuring stick is perpendicular from the floor edge downwards, the white slat bottom edge corresponds to the constructed line. According to my understanding, that would not be compliant with the standard at 197cm. That and the deviation from the drawing would be the arguments.

But it’s not only that which is bothersome, rather the length, less space in the corridor, etc.

So it was planned that way. You approved the plans, at that moment everything is as discussed, and fine. Getting annoyed afterwards is OK, but ultimately it is exactly as on the plans...

So the staircase according to the drawing was 15cm shorter, but the staircase builder probably unilaterally redesigned it without consultation because those are the standard staircase measurements and it meant even less work for him than for a straight staircase anyway.
