You could extend the shower into the room. And shift everything else slightly towards the top of the plan.

You certainly could. Still, the tight niche in which you would then stand remains. It's at most 80 wide. It wouldn't be my choice, as long as there are alternatives. But the OP has to decide that. Both certainly work.

yes, indeed that is one of the reasons why I want to move the shower to another spot. The niche is 90 cm wide inside and already a bit cramped. if the tiled partition wall were removed and replaced with a glass panel, up to 110 cm width would be possible, but from my point of view that would rather reinforce the "tube character."

Regarding the window, what do you think? Does the large window make sense, or could/should the window remain in its current position?

Sandra says she would leave the window as is, remove the bathtub, move the toilet and washbasin a bit to the left, and leave the shower in the niche. From my point of view, then I would have everything on the right side and feel more like I am in a restaurant toilet tube.

Do you have any more ideas on what could be done?
Keywords:

    [*]T-wall
[*]possibly toilet opposite shower + wall in the middle
[*]folding shower screen (I think that would not be practical and would be in "shower position" all the time anyway) does anyone here have first-hand experience
[*]ideas for the entrance area? Diagonal, leave as is, open door outwards, etc.
[*]"Is it 'worth it' to move the wall to the living room, for a maximum of 50 cm? In terms of work, it would be a huge mess but doable, I think

I would place the window all the way to the left and not make it floor-to-ceiling in the bathroom either. At least if I were to position the shower at the back. I would not move the wall to the [WZ], the room is already not big. A door opening outwards or at an angle does not make sense to me.

Thank you for your assessment , that already helps. I really need to take a look at what options there are with the window. Basically, it is relatively easy on our wooden house with a box cutter and a reciprocating saw.

Honestly, I find it difficult; the niche will not get any wider no matter what, because the door stops at the wall. If I extend the shower wall, the passage between the shower wall and the washbasin will become difficult. For fun, I placed a bathtub in the gap behind the toilet that is turned 90°, since otherwise the space wouldn’t be usable in any meaningful way.
I then left the window as it is, which is actually one of the few advantages I see.

Did I understand it correctly?
