Hello everyone,

The passage to the shower is giving me a bit of a headache.. my husband says 60cm is enough, I think it should be at least 70cm.

Today we laid out 60cm with a tape measure, we would fit quite comfortably, but now the idea came up to possibly swap the shower and bathtub spaces and place the shower in the corner as in the example picture and design it that way.

What do you think about that?

Or would you have another idea?

Thanks in advance

hm, that would be too much frills for me. I personally also don’t like divided viewing panels. I would also arrange the washbasins so that you don’t cast a shadow on yourself, for example like this:

We have 64.5cm clear width in the upstairs bathroom. Without tiles about 67cm. We have no problems getting through and I never thought afterwards that it should have been wider. We even (for a short time) put a suction cup for a towel in the passage. It would still be hanging but it fell down. But if someone asked me: I wouldn’t do less than 65cm clear width ;)

edit: We had the planning like that with a towel heater inside the shower. But it was not implemented that way by the electrician due to the protection class of the circuits. Or is it connected to the underfloor heating?

With a 140 cm shower, that is a foolish act.

Thank you for your idea.

With the washbasins at the shower, I see the problem that this won't work because we will have two niches for utensils at the shower and the mirror cabinet is supposed to be designed as a recessed mirror cabinet.

So there is basically no wall left or am I thinking wrong?

Yes, it is connected to the underfloor heating.

We also measured and it wouldn't be too tight for us in principle.

I also drew a few times, please don't be surprised, at some point I lost the motivation to keep the scales.. But it should fit in terms of space..

I had other versions too, but my husband already excluded them..

With this version, you could still install a window in the WC.

Do you also think that one window might possibly not be enough?

Mirror cabinets will probably be installed flush with the pre-wall installation. This is also the case with your variant, otherwise you wouldn't have a "wall" to the utility room.

Not tight at all... Splash water in the shower will reach your towels.
