Our flush-mounted shower tray has a non-slip coating that is almost invisible. No matter how hard I try, nothing slips there.

Why is everyone always so afraid? In our shower, a shower tray element or whatever it is called was installed under the tiles, and then it was tiled over. If something is leaking, it would only be at the edge to the wall, and it can also leak there with a normal shower tray. That's why we simply don't have underfloor heating in the shower.

I agree with you that the feeling of warmth in an open shower is generally not as good as in a closed cabin. It is colder because the warm water vapor drifts unhindered into the room instead of being contained in a cabin.

One can definitely see it the other way around – in an open shower, the ambient temperature equals the room temperature. This eliminates, among other things, the "cold" feeling when leaving the cabin. I am happy to be able to call an open shower my own again (I am a cold person). Rhineland greetings

I would say a tiled shower is initially easier to keep clean. The water dries faster than in a bathtub.
