Hello Musketeer,

thank you for your thoughts, but the floor plan and the allocation of the rooms are definitely fixed. By the end of the week, the ground floor will be built :-)
We have thought about it for a long time and in detail, and this is the floor plan tailored to our needs. Take a look at most other [Friesenhaus] floor plans, you will notice that they simply have huge corridors on the upper floor and therefore lose a lot of space. We wanted to use it and we do by our standards. It's a matter of taste :)
And honestly, for a guest WC, we find it completely sufficient. For daytime toilet visits and for the fact that a few guests shower there three times a year, that is more than enough. I don’t live there, just like not in the corridor.
We have now decided to wait for the upper floor walls and decide on site finally what goes where. Because it is such an unusual room, we simply lack the imagination.

Musketier means the dead corners in the WC and hallway... it's certainly an unusual thing to plan something like that in a new build ;)

Regarding the switch between bathroom/guest or work, Musketier is right in the sense that the bathroom furniture also needs space upwards (shower, toilet as well as mirror). The gable being open upwards might still seem beautifully unusual and interesting to you, nevertheless: bathroom planning will certainly be interesting ;)

Not only that. The drainage for the toilet could be the most interesting point. If it goes badly, the pipes come out somewhere in the hallway below. If you swap the rooms, it only affects the utility room.
