Jochen stated my concerns exactly as they are. The difficult part is the lack of furnishing. I'm currently trying to imagine how a fireplace should be positioned and how it would look from all sides. Depending on the furnishings, the door to the pantry could be placed a bit more sensibly. Do you really need a door to the outside in the sewing room? That would rather be a dirt trap
No, I don't need the door to the outside in the sewing room. A normal window can also go in there. It actually should be that way – it's a mistake in the floor plan.
We'll probably draw in the furniture at some point. Although I'm less worried about the dining table and stuff not fitting. Over time, new furniture will be bought anyway :) But thanks a lot for the tip, we'll do that!
Well, that depends on the type and size of the fireplace (freistehend/gemauert) and where it is located. I suppose at the front end of the wall, so that you can see it from the couch. However, it would then also be visible from the kitchen and the hallway and would probably stand out quite dominantly.
Where the fireplace will go, we don't know exactly yet. Although we would also really like a built-in one. Unfortunately, there is no other possible location for the fireplace in the living/dining room. Or are there other ideas here as well? ;-)
You really should urgently think about your furnishings. We do not know your preferences, existing furniture, habits.... you have to do that yourselves
