This wrap-around canopy and the almost continuous slanted wall syndrome are quite perception-shaping "details" – or rather: here already almost "factors" of the overall impression that the house will make, not least on its inhabitants. What exactly is the feeling of satisfaction based on, if I may ask stupidly? I can hardly think of anything that would slap this house in the face even harder than a T-bathroom. That fits like a fried egg on cherry crumble. Which one do you mean specifically?

Walls up to height. Half-height with glass shows nothing through the slope

That’s what I meant

Okay, thank you for all the suggestions and information. That is all already very helpful. So it will come down to a proposal similar to the one at the beginning from kaho674.

Would you then also build the wall facing the bathroom door all the way up? Wouldn't that make the shower a bit too dark?

And regarding the other questions about the ground floor: We like the slanted walls, they somewhat loosen up the overall look for us. We visited several houses and found out that we wouldn’t like a long, rectangular hallway. Ideally, our hallway would be significantly shorter so that we could mainly have a staircase area. Unfortunately, for that the entrance would have to come from the north. But we have an approximately 50m long driveway (rear property) and don’t want to walk or drive all the way around the house. And if we place the front door centrally to the south, we lose far too much space for the terrace. As said, none of this is ideal, but it’s the best compromise for us.

Regarding the surrounding canopy: We have two bay windows, which we like visually. As sun and rain protection, we thought long about what could be done with the terrace. In the end, it came down to a roof that connects the bay windows. Unfortunately, this makes the bay windows less pretty and strongly characterizes the house. Visually, we can live with that, provided it at all offers a meaningful use. Our concern is that the roof is too "short" to provide sufficient protection from sun and rain and that we would then have to extend it with another solution. That would be unfortunate, as then we could and would directly do without the roof.

I’m attaching visualizations here. You will have to extrapolate the older ones to the new changes. For example, there are fewer skylights, the angle has become smaller, and the roof overhang as well.

I see no point in dwelling on the floor plan. You say it's settled and final. It is not a Rembrandt or Picasso, but it also has no glaring design flaws that make it uninhabitable.

I see it the same way
But I also don’t want to simply deny you your wishes, after all you are giving me a lot of helpful advice here. I would find it unfair if I didn’t respond to that.
