They will already be reduced for 2025 so that one ends up roughly in the range of 2024 and the big outcry can be avoided. The increases from 20-24 are already included then ;)

I need to bring up the topic again.. I entered our data into the property tax calculator and got roughly the same result as the tax office calculated... Property tax assessment amount from 2025: approx. 114,- EUR (house built in 2017) I am now playing around a bit with the inputs and notice… the older our house would be (so assuming we built it in 2000), the lower the amount is.. in that case it would only be 85,- EUR instead of 114,- EUR.

I am a bit puzzled by this principle... The tax office would then have to carry out new calculations regularly??? Or do I have a misunderstanding?

Yes. That makes sense, because the new property tax is supposed to reflect the value of the house. And a house basically loses value the older it gets. So that the tax office doesn't have to constantly carry out new valuations, they use approximation formulas that include, for example, the year of construction, remaining useful life, rental level, net income or capitalized net income, blah blah blah. Of course, all as complicated as possible so that no one can figure out if it fits or not without an expensive tax advisor. One crow pecks the other.

That will not be lowered at all. Several municipalities have more or less openly admitted that the assessment rates will remain where they are...
